On the ACT Reading section and the SAT Reading section, you’ll come across supporting evidence questions. Supporting evidence questions require you to find evidence in the passage to support a claim.
How to Solve Supporting Evidence Questions
The first thing you want to do when you come across a supporting evidence question is to rephrase the question in your own words. This will help you understand what the question is asking. Then, go through the answer choices one by one and decide which answer choice best supports the claim stated in the question.
