There are seven official ACT test dates announced for the 2021-2022 school year. There are test dates for fall and winter 2021 and spring and summer 2022.

How to Register for the ACT
Register for the ACT by visiting the ACT’s website and registering online. They say this takes about 40 minutes to complete. To register, you’ll need:
- Your high school course details
- Your high school’s code
- A headshot photo
- A credit card or other payment method in order to register.

When Should I Take the ACT?
Seniors
Register for the earliest available test date so you can submit your score in time to make college application deadlines.
Juniors
We recommend taking the test in December or the spring of your junior year. Testing at these times ensures you’ve learned enough in the classroom to take on the test but leaves plenty of time for retesting to boost your score.
